Winter Warm Spaces
November 2025 – March 2026
Our Winter Warm Spaces project brought the community together during the colder months, creating a safe and welcoming place where people could connect, relax, and stay warm.
We launched the project with a community event full of family fun and activities, setting the tone for a winter focused on support, connection, and togetherness.
What We Delivered
Over the winter period, we provided:
- 24 Warm Space sessions
- 151 Warm Packs to help people stay warm at home
Our Sessions
To meet the needs of different members of the community, we ran two weekly sessions:
Wednesdays – Community Warm Space
A relaxed session aimed mainly at adults, offering:
- Tea and toast
- Adult crafts and activities
- Access to support services
Fridays – Family Warm Space (Play Café)
A welcoming space for families, including:
- A hot meal
- Free soft play
- Time to relax and connect with other families
At every session, visitors could access Warm Packs to take home and find out more about activities and support available at The Park Lane Centre.
Community Voice
Throughout the project, we also carried out community consultation, gathering ideas and feedback to help shape new projects starting from April 2026.
The Impact
Winter Warm Spaces was about more than just keeping warm. It:
- Helped reduce isolation
- Created opportunities to build friendships
- Supported health and wellbeing
- Strengthened community connections during the most challenging months of the year
