WOODSIDE WORKING TOGETHER

A Park Lane Centre project

Building a stronger Woodside – Together

Funded by The National Lottery Community Fund

£30,000 for 3 projects per year for five years (April 2025 – March 2030)
Plus fully funding a Project Officer and Assistant Community Project Officer

Based at The Park Lane Centre, Woodside Working Together works alongside staff, volunteers, and existing projects, building on what already works while supporting the development of new community initiatives.

WHAT WE DO

We bring local people, groups, and organisations together to create meaningful, lasting change across the Woodside Estate.

Each year, we deliver three community projects designed to:

  • Meet the real needs of the community
  • Build skills, confidence, and opportunities
  • Connect with local services and organisations to support ongoing work

Previous projects include:

  • The Hangout@ Youth Café – supporting young people through social, educational, and volunteering opportunities
  • Winter Warm Spaces – providing a safe, welcoming environment during the winter months, including warm meals, practical support, and advice on staying warm in cost-effective and environmentally friendly ways
  • Community Consultations – led by volunteers and the developing Community Forum, ensuring local voices help shape future priorities.

HOW WE WORK

  • Community-led and needs-driven – we listen to local people, use community knowledge, data, and evidence, and ensure local voices are central to everything we do
  • Inclusive – everyone’s voice matters, regardless of age, background, or experience
  • Sustainable – projects are designed to continue through local volunteers, ongoing support, and future funding opportunities
